What It Takes to Be A Plumber
As plumbing professionals, we enter people’s homes and take on some of their dirtiest jobs. Plumbers must possess both the attention to detail to accomplish fine work and a genuine care and respect for others in order to successfully work in clients’ homes.
Critical thinking is also necessary in order to assess complex plumbing issues and do what it takes to remedy the situation, quickly and efficiently. Excellent self-management skills are a must, as much of a plumber’s time will be spent outside the office, making house calls and navigating jobs on his own. Finally, skill at negotiation is beneficial, as he or she may need to discuss additional products and services with clients, offering options that help meet their needs.
